Work-based Learning Experiences
Employers are asked to consider providing Work-based Learning Experiences for students. These experiences can be paid or unpaid, and are generally
short in duration. They are designed to let students hone the skills
they’ve learned in the vocational lab and acquire new skills specific to
the worksite. Work-based learning experiences allow an employer to assess
the student’s abilities, work ethic and employment potential.
Possible work-based learning experiences
include but are not limited to:
- Job Shadowing
- Working Interview
- Short Work Experience
- Career Fair
- Workplace Tour
- Project-Based Learning Experience
- Community Service/Service Project
